Breaking House News: New Team Member Announced!
July 14th, 2010 by Lynn DeVries

Amber Tamblyn

This Just In….

Fox just announced a new team member to join House while Olivia Wilde is filming her new movie. We heard a few weeks ago that Olivia Wilde would not be back at the beginning of season 7 because she’ll be filming her new movie, Cowboys & Aliens. And just now I got the announcement from FOX that Amber Tamblyn will be joining the team in a multi-episode story arc. Here’s a quote from the press release:

Amber Tamblyn has signed on to appear in the upcoming season of HOUSE for a multi-episode story arc. She will play a brilliant and aggressive medical student whom DR. HOUSE (Hugh Laurie) hires as a new team member although she is technically not yet qualified to practice medicine. Tamblyn’s character will be confronted with the morally and ethically questionable way that House practices medicine.

It’s not a lot, but any news is fantastic news. It means that we are edging closer each day to the beginning of a new season.

The premiere of House season 7 will officially be on Monday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Woo-hoo! The season 7 details are starting to come out! I can’t wait!!

Ok.. i’m excited to get more info about season7. So she’s not premanent but she’s there instead of 13, right? sounds interesting that she’s a student. i’m gonna miss 13 for a while but she’ll be back so that’s good. i knew someone who’s totally new was coming, not Sam or Cameron. Can’t wait!

My first thought was “So, resuming, she will be another Cameron?” I really hope not… But it would be fun if House couldn’t find anybody and called Cameron…

Buuut for some reason I like Amber Tamblyn, I don’t really remember where I saw her though, but I’m curious to see how her story arc will develop…

Makes me look forward to see seson 7 even less, and that makes me sad. I hate what they are doing with Cuddy, turning this smart show into a soap opera with a pairing I can’t stand. And now they are brining in yet another character instead of doing what so many fans obviously want: bring back Cameron!!!!

wait.. i thought Olivia was gonna be there at the beginning of season7 and then disappear for a certain period. That’s what Katie Jacobs said, wasn’t it? But still, it’s clear that the new character will gonna be there when 13’s not there, so i guess it doesn’t really matter. I kind of agree with Sandra at certain point too. I hoped they would bring Cameron back and i still do. I support Huddy but i’m afraid that they would rush like crazy and have them too much in the next season. But, i’m still excited..

She looks a lot like Cameron circa season 1. I wonder if this has any significance.

Going off topic here, but I read that Hugh Laurie submitted ” Broken” (season opener) to the Emmy Awards to back up his nomination. If the Emmy voters have any good judgement, Hugh will win this year !

The “House” was a major winner on the E! Tater Tots awards (voted for online at E!’s web site). Not only did “House” win favorite drama, Hugh won favorite “Drama King”, Lisa won “Drama Queen”, House and Cuudy won for both best couple and best kiss ! The Emmy voters may not know their — from their elbow, but the American public sure knows what they like. Way to go one and all !
