House: Funny New Group Cast Photo
Sep 2nd, 2010 by Lynn DeVries

Here’s an interesting take on the new season of House. It seems very symbolic of the Huddy relationship and Wilson’s friendship with House. He can’t help himself, he will definitely drag everyone through whatever he’s involved with…even romance with Cuddy. Cool!

What do you think of it?

House: Hugh Laurie Talks About Huddy

Here’s a quick bit of an interview that Michael Ausiello did with House star Hugh Laurie at the Emmy Awards Sunday evening:

Question: Where is the Hugh Laurie interview you promised us from the Emmys?! House fans are an impatient lot! —Gillian

Ausiello: First off, simmer yourself. I’ve had a lot on my plate the past few days, if you hadn’t noticed. Second, the interview is RIGHT. HERE.

Ausiello: So they’re finally going there with Huddy.

HUGH LAURIE: It seems that way.

Ausiello: Scared?

LAURIE: I’m scared for him. Terrified. But so far so good. Baby steps.

Ausiello: Are you happy they finally took the plunge?

LAURIE: I care less about what happens than how it happens. And if you do it right, it will work. And if we don’t do it right, nothing works. But I think we’ve danced around the idea long enough, it was time to take some action.

Ausiello: Is it safe to say that if it doesn’t work with Huddy it won’t work with anyone?

LAURIE: That’s a possibility. He might be fatally flawed. [Source: EW]

House: Hugh Laurie Red Carpet Interview
Sep 1st, 2010 by Lynn DeVries

On Sunday night, Hugh Laurie was overlooked yet again for an Emmy Award for his role on House. I’m so sick of the Emmy selection committee slighting him that I don’t even want to get started again with another comment about it this year. However, while he was on the red carpet at the Emmys, he stopped to chat with Ryan Seacrest about House and about his new movie The Oranges. Of course, he was witty and adorable as always:

House: Hugh Laurie Season 7 Photos!
Aug 31st, 2010 by Lynn DeVries

Those of you who have visited this blog before know that I have been quite lax in updating over the summer. I apologize to you all. The city I live in has over 11% unemployment and I’ve been working hard to both find a job and do enough freelance work to pay my mortgage and other bills. So my House blogging has taken a back seat. But I have to admit, now that there is news and a few photos of Hugh Laurie for House season 7, I can’t help myself. I have to share them with you. After nearly four years of blogging about House, I can’t bring myself to stop. I love the show and I love to blog about it.

And I want to thank you for reading my House blog. :-) I promise to be regular again with this blog now that the season is beginning in less than three weeks! I hope you’ll keep coming back to see the latest House news and share your thoughts about the show.

Here are the first of the House season 7 cast photos. They depict our favorite actor, Hugh Laurie in his role as House. I love them! I’ve even replaced the site image in the left sidebar with one of them. I hope you enjoy them.

House: Hugh Laurie Helped Honor a Dear Friend
Aug 15th, 2010 by Lynn DeVries

It’s no secret that one of House star Hugh Laurie’s oldest and dearest firends is actress Emma Thompson. So when she was given her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, Hugh was there to take part in the festivities. He spoke at the ceremony and was a part of the photos taken as Emma’s new star was unveiled.

Congratulations to Emma Thompson!

For those of us who were not fortunate enough to be at the event, here are some fun photos of Hugh and Emma at the event:

We owe Judith a ton of thanks for the tip about these photos!

It looks like production has begun for House season 7. In a large online gallery of photos, we see some behind the scenes as well as a scene with House and Cuddy kissing on a beach. Check out the site!

Here’s another great way to pass the time until the seventh season of House begins. You can watch the nutty British humor of Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, along with a few of their close friends in the series BlackAdder.

The boxerd set of four seasons of this early comedic series where Hugh Laurie’s comedy mastery shines are now available on DVD: BlackAdder Remastered: The Ultimate Edition. This 6-disc set gives us 895 minutes of pure hilarity. Here’s what Amazon has to say to describe the series:

Rowan Atkinson is deliciously twisted as the comic villain, Edmund Blackadder, in the enormously popular comedy series. Follow Blackadder in hysterical send-ups of the Middle Ages, the Elizabethan age, the Regency period, and World War I. This special edition contains new exclusive interviews and audio commentaries , making it a must have for all BlackAdder fans.

And here’s a list of the special features included in the set:

  • Remastered series: The Black Adder, Blackadder II, Blackadder the Third, Blackadder Goes Forth
  • New commentary by Rowan Atkinson and John Lloyd, Stephen Fry, Ben Elton and Richard Curtis, Tony Robinson and Tim McInnery
  • Blackadder Rides Again: special 60-minute documentary to mark the 25th anniversary
  • Exclusive extended interviews with Hugh Laurie, Rowan Atkinson, Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, Tony Robinson, Stephen Fry
  • Costumes Revisited with Miranda Richardson, Patsy Byrne, Tony Robinson, Tim McInnery
  • Plus Blackadder’s Christmas Carol, Blackadder the Cavalier Years, Blackadder Back and Forth, Baldrick’s Video Diary and more

Hey, it’s going to be a long, boring summer without any new House episodes. As TV House Watch reader Greg mentioned, another great set of DVDs that fans of Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry should definitely check out is the full collection of Jeeves & Wooster. It’s more of their zany hilarity and it gives us something to occupy us until House’s new season begins.
