Here’s an interesting take on the new season of House. It seems very symbolic of the Huddy relationship and Wilson’s friendship with House. He can’t help himself, he will definitely drag everyone through whatever he’s involved with…even romance with Cuddy. Cool!
What do you think of it?
House star Robert Sean Leonard was at the FOX Summer TCA All-Star Party on Monday too. It’s great to see him there. Here are some photos of him enjoying the festivities.

House aired its 6th season finale this week, but that doesn’t mean that the cast will be loafing this summer. Several of them are filming new movies or have another big project they are working on.
Hugh Laurie, aka Dr. Gregory House, is filming a new movie called The Oranges. It’s a story of a May-December romance and his co-stars include Allison Janney, Leighton Meester, Catherine Keener, Alia Shawkat, Adam Brody, Oliver Platt, Tim Guinee, Aya Cash, Heidi Kristoffer, Cassidy Gard, Sam Rosen and Stephen Badalamenti and it’s expected to be released sometime in 2011.
You can see some behind the scenes photos of Hugh filming in New York City recently here.
Peter Jacobson, aka Dr. Chris Taub, is filming a movie this summer too. His new film is called And They’re Off. IMDb.com gives us this synopsys:
“A comedy centered on a failed horse trainer who desperately wants to be back in the winner’s circle.”
I’m guessing that Peter was cast in this part at least partially because of his short stature. Some of the other stars in this movie are Sean Astin, Mark Moses, Cheri Oteri, Kevin Nealon, Mo Collins and Martin Mull. This film is expected to be released in 2011.
Jennifer Morrison, aka Dr. Allison Cameron, may be gone from the regular cast, but most House fans still want to know what she’s up to. Her Broadway run for The Miracle Worker is over, but she stars in a movie that’s expected out later this year. The film is called Warrior. IMDb.com shows this plot summary for the movie:
“The youngest son (Hardy) of an alcoholic former boxer (Nolte) returns home, where he’s trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament — a path that puts the fighter on a collision corner with his older brother.”
Robert Sean Leonard, aka Dr. James Wilson is in a ducumentary about Herman Melville. The series is called The American Experience and he’s in the episode entitled Into the Deep: America, Whaling & the World. This is a big deal for Robert’s fans, since he usually spends his breaks from shooting at home with his wife and daughter. He’s a self-confessed home-body.
But the House cast member with the most outside projects is by far Olivia Wilde, aka Dr. Remy Hadley or Thirteen. She’s in 5 upcoming movies:
This is a great behind the scenes clip of Robert Sean Leonard talking about his work on House.
Since he and his wife have a baby, it’s no wonder he mentions that sometimes he looks tired on the show. LOL! We’ve all been there, done that! But it’s great to know we’re not the only ones.
Episode 6.16 – Black Hole Air Date: March 15, 2010
Here are some promotional photos from the House episode Black Hole. We can only hope that the black hole isn’t in the patient’s brain…
Check out the one photo. It looks reminiscent of an old, campy horror flick. All that’s missing is a head in a jar on the shelf behind them. I love it!!
Today is House star Robert Sean Leonard’s 41st birthday. I hope he’s happy out on his ranch with his wife and daughter, celebrating his birthday in style.
I finally got the chance to get this transcript of the Robert Sean Leonard interview posted. He’s a very casual, interesting man. Each person that came on the line in the conference call was actually questioned by RSL and then he would make fun little jokes and comments about their location or their publication. It made me wonder if it was a way to deflect the attention away from himself.
He seems to be a very seriously devoted family man with a love of theater and he is also what might be considered shy. In that way, he seems like the perfect match for Hugh Laurie. They are both rather shy and unassuming when asked about themselves. They are both quite self-deprecating in interviews. I think that’s fascinating. They were the perfect two to be cast as best friends.
Here’s the conversation that RSL had with everyone on Tuesday and I hope you enjoy it:
Q: Congratulations on your self-titled episode.
Robert Sean Leonard: Oh, no, it’s my worst nightmare. Are you kidding? When I read this pilot, I was going to—the other pilot I was considering was Numbers, when I first got out here five years ago, and I read Numbers and thought, well this is way too many scenes. Its way too hard, and I’m not interested. And then I read House, and the guy was, Wilson was in about three scenes a show, and I thought this is perfect. You know, I’m the Carlton the Doorman of my show. I’m not the most ambitious guy. I like playing the best friend. It’s good to be the lead of a show for a week, but I wouldn’t spread it all around too much. I like my role the way it is.
Q: Well tell us how Wilson is different in this episode, and why.
Robert: Well, he’s not different; he’s just examined more. You see my assistant you’ve never met. You see the oncology floor, you see where I work. My office next to House’s is just my office, so there’s a whole floor where I work in oncology. I have my own patients, my own assistant, my own day that doesn’t include House, so you basically follow Wilson around for a few days and see what his life is like.
Q: And this case hits home for him?
On Tuesday, I have the wonderful opportunity to participate in a conference call interview with Robert Sean Leonard who plays Wilson on House. Since i won’t be the only one on the call doing the interviewing, I’ll only get the chance to ask 2-3 questions, but I want to be sure they are the ones you, my terrific readers, want me to ask!
We’ve done this before, you all leaving messages to tell me what you want to know the most from the House cast member and I do my best to use the most popular questions in my portion of the interview. It seems only fair that if you come to this site for your information about the show and its cast that I let you help out with the interviews. That way, we all win!
So before Tuesday, if you have questions you would like for me to ask of Robert Sean Leonard, please leave them as a comment on this post. Then, I’ll do my best on your behalf!
Each season, FOX does portraits of each of the cast members to help promote House. This year, in addition to the portraits of the cast members, we got several really fun photos. We got the “Hugh Laurie/snakes caduceus”, the “raining pills” image and the RV shoot with each of the cast members doing something different. They are all great!
This little clip gives us some behind the scenes looks at the various photos being taken. The cast members also explain the meaning behind the RV image. I especially enjoyed Robert Sean Leonard explaining Peter Jacobs’ outfit for the RV shoot as being the member of the Village People that didn’t make it. LOL!
