Band From TV: Two Charity Performances

OK, I apologize for missing an important date. I just now found out about the performance from the Band From TV on Saturday night in Hollywood at the Avalon. They performed together to benefit the Ronnie Lippin Cancer Research and Information Line.

If anyone was able to be there, please let us know how you liked it and whether Jesse Spencer or Hugh Laurie was able to be there to perform. :-)

But luckily, I did just find out about another upcoming performance by BFT. On January 15, 2011, The group will perform at a private event to benefit the National Association of Music Merchants. For more information about NAMM, interested parties can visit www.namm.org or call 800-767-NAMM (6266).

Video: Hugh Laurie Interview With Tavis Smiley

Hugh Laurie was also a guest on the Tavis Smiley Tonight show this week. Hugh describes his friend James Taylor and a recent concert he and Tavis Smiley both attended. They talk at length about Hugh as a musician and Tavis shows some photos of Hugh Laurie playing keyboards with the Band From TV. I loved him telling about recording with the great blues musician Dr. John.

They went on to discuss how House walking with a cane is important to people with physical challenges. Then he talks about what he likes about his character on the show. It’s definitely worth the watch!
