House star Hugh Laurie stopped to talk to E! reporter Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet at last night’s Golden Globe Awards. He gives his opinion of people who ask actors for medical advice, jokes a bit with Seacrest, then seems quite pleased that he’ll be attending this year’s Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, Hugh didn’t win the Golden Globe Award this year, but he did win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama in 2006 and 2007. He’s been nominated for this category every year since 2006.

Last night’s People’s Choice Awards kicked off the 2011 awards season and things looked very good for House fans.

Leading the winners this year was House and its stars Lisa Edelstein and Hugh Laurie. In fact, the only House star that was nominated, but didn’t win was Robert Sean Leonard. Even though he’s wonderful and we all love Wilson, he had impossible competition in fellow House star Hugh Laurie.

The official awards season has begun again in Hollywood. With the exception of the Emmy Awards, most of the awards are nominated and celebrated in the winter months. And once again, our favorite TV actor, Hugh Laurie has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. This is the sixth year that Hugh has been nominated for this award. He has won it twice.

The SAG Awards ceremony will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at 8 pm ET.
