After a good long while I decided to contribute to the blog again. I’ve already got another idea, but I’ll come to that later.

Well, I really enjoyed the last episode, can’t really say which scene I liked best. Because it was hilariously funny I decided to watch it again on the same day, but at a later time. My fav scenes are the ones in which House and Foreman visit the room mates of the POTW and all the exaggerated and outrageous things House claims he did so he would be able to read Cuddy’s journal on her laptop. Same thing later – the scene in Hourani’s office and the following events in the class room.

However, there is one detail, that will lead to further debate among the fans. The detail I’m talking about is House’s Driver License. I don’t know if anyone was able to get a good look at it (I did – got a screencap, see below), especially the bith date. Here it says 05-15-1959…

The problem here being, that the season finale of Season 2 hinted at Hugh’s birthday, while back in Season 1 there’s this hint to sometime around December. So what’s the true date now???

Finally, here’s my idea: The last days I spent watching all the episodes again (still got a few left) and taking lots (I really mean LOTS!!!) of screencaps. If you want something like the “Screencap of the Day” category, let me know and I’m happy to share my work with you.

Some days ago I stumbled across following news:

‘House‘ is in serious condition. Once FOX’s most watched scripted series, this season the show is faltering. The Season 7 premiere’s ratings declined 34% from the sixth season opener (6.1 million viewers versus 4.1 million among Adults 18-49), and this week’s episode was down another 10%, to 3.8 million.

I started wondering what was causing this. I mean, now that the six year long dance around the possibility of “Huddy” actually happening is over, why are the ratings dropping?

I don’t have an explanation for this, so maybe you can help me out. Because so far, I liked the very first episodes of the current season very much and judging by what I’ve seen in the spoiler clips for the next episode, it’s going to be a fun ride.

Come join me in telling others how great and cool House still is and will be for all that is yet to come. Let’s save the best show on TV there is!

However, there is still hope. I remember reading somewhere that there are (unconfirmed, as of now) plans for another two seasons. Let’s hope this is true and all the actors, writers and the others are keeping up the great work they do, for I’d love to watch more of this brilliant show…

Thanks to Greg for the heads up on Doris Egan’s message. Apparently, Doris, who is an award-winning writer for House, announced that the premiere of House season 7 will be on September 21 at 8:00 pm ET and it will be a 2-hour episode.

So that we can keep track of how long we’ll have to wait for a new episode of House, I’ve placed a handy countdown timer in the right sidebar of this blog. Right now, it’s pretty depressing to see that we have over 100 days to wait!

But I am intrigued by the 2-hour premiere. I can’t help but wonder if it might involve the House/Cuddy relationship as a major component. It will also be interesting to find out whether Wilson & Sam will still be seeing each other. (Can you imagine the fun of the four of them on a double date?)

I also had a funny thought the other day when I was discussing the finale with my friend Cindy. Since Olivia Wilde will be taking a leave of absence from the show in order to film a movie, that will leave a totally testosterone-driven team for House.

What if Sam, who is a doctor by the way, were to temporarily join House’s diagnostic team. Imagine the snarky comments House would throw at her and how it would affect his friendship with Wilson…

Please discuss…

I just finished watching the season 6 finale of House. All I can say is WOW!! There are a lot of things that happened in tonight’s episode and it sure did keep me riveted to the screen until the credits began to roll. He was letting Cuddy go when he gave her the book written by her great-grandfather as a housewarming present. Then she told him she was going to marry Lucas.

House (Hugh Laurie) assesses the situation at an accident site in the HOUSE season finale episode “Help Me” airing Monday, May 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT)
[Photo: ©2010 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Adam Taylor/FOX]

When they arrived at Trenton, the disaster was horrific and Cuddy and House disagreed about helping the victims. Finally she told him she was moving on and Wilson was moving on and that she didn’t love him. It was the pain from his life that helped him convince Hanna to let him amputate her leg.

That hurt him enough, but then on the way to the hospital, Hanna died. House couldn’t save her.

In his pain and loneliness, House went for his super-secret stash of Vicodin.

The scene Huddy fans have waited to see for six years finally happened. Cuddy came to tell House she had ended her relationship with Lucas and that she did love him…just in time to keep him from taking the pills and sinking back into his addiction.

If Hugh doesn’t win an Emmy for tonight’s episode, there absolutely is no justice at all in the world. He was magnificent!

What did you think of the episode? Do you think Thirteen will leave the team? Do you think House & Cuddy will be able to make the relationship work? Let us know what you think!

Episode 6.20 – The Choice
Air Date: May 3, 2010

Last night’s episode of House was perhaps my favorite episode this season so far. House was on a roll, with one snarky comment after another! The POTW was compelling and watching the doclings try to keep House occupied was fantastic! It was one delicious moment after another!

Here are some of the parts of last night’s episode that I particularly loved (and I’d love for you to let me know your favorite moments too!)

Chase, Foreman & House singing the Gladys Knight & the Pips song Midnight Train. It was hilarious and so much fun!

I have come to dislike Taub, since I can’t stand the fact that he cheats on his wife. But I really loved seeing House mess with his head about it!!

There were a ton of wonderful House-isms in the episode!! Watch for them here…

Watching House & Thirteen at the lesbian bar was fun. House sat there and seemed to be almost in awe of her. Hugh played him perfectly as a slightly uncomfortable, yet fascinated observer.

It was perfect that the resident bisexual, Thirteen, had a lot of insight about the patient’s situation. I agree with the docs’ assessment that the POTW can’t will himself to be something he’s not. It was a wonderful storyline!

And, of course, Cuddy asking House to go to dinner because she wants them to be friends and him refusing because that’s the one thing he doesn’t want them to be was amazing!! (Now if we can just see Cuddy dump Lucas…)

What were your thoughts about the episode? Did you agree or disagree with the patients’ actions to try to change himself? I’m interested in your favorite parts of the episode.

Episode 6.13 – Moving the Chains
Air Date: February 1, 2010

Tonight’s episode of House was fantastic! I nearly died laughing when Wilson found the opossum in the bathtub! LOL! And I loved getting to see Foreman’s brother on the show.

The episode was so cool; I thought we could discuss it a bit. Here are some of the things that I enjoyed about the episode and some things that made me think.

It was fun to think that House and Wilson had gone back to their pranking behavior. It takes us back to the pranks we’ve seen them pull on each other over the various seasons, like kidnapping a guitar and sending pieces as ransom requests.

My favorite House-ism for this episode:

Wilson: “Are you out of your mind?”

House: “As a former psychiatric patient, I take offense at that terminology.”

I found it really interesting that Wilson thought House was trying to compensate for his own lack of family bonds and was actually being nice. And it was even cooler when House denied it completely:

His response: “Shut up. You can’t accuse me of an opossum attack and underhanded kindness in the same visit.”

I loved the opossum vigil! And Wilson admitting that House would “never sacrifice the flat screen.”

I also thought the clinic patient who wanted to end his term in the military was a sad twist too. I’m a bit surprised that House didn’t help him with a medical excuse, and wasn’t at all sympathetic to his plight. It was very sad how the soldier found a way out.

House was up to his old self of playing with his team’s heads. This time, it was Foreman who got most of the meddling. He enlisted Foreman’s brother to tell him embarrassing things about him. It’s classic House behavior!

I liked how Foreman’s brother ended up defending him to House. And it was sad that Foreman had never told House when his mother died. We saw her when she was suffering from dementia, but we weren’t told that she had died.

It was great how the patient telling Foreman how it was important to sacrifice for family made him realize he should try to help his brother after all. I’m glad that Foreman and his brother decided to try to work things out.

At the end, Wilson told House that he was a diabolical and benevolent puppet master. I think it’s the perfect description!

And is it just me, or do any of you think Cuddy could do so much better than Lucas? I can’t stand that character!

Were you expecting it to be Lucas playing all the pranks on House & Wilson? Did you think Cuddy knew about it? What did you think of this episode of House? Leave a comment and let’s discuss!
