Let’s see, we have quite a lot of tiny details we can think about as we wait for the next new House episode to air on Monday. Here are the tings we already know:
All of that information, put together is certainly exciting, but here are a few more details to think about:
Got any ‘House‘ scoop? – Maura How do you top the last season finale where Dr. Nasty checked himself into a psych ward? It sounds like the ‘House’ writers are up to the challenge when it comes to this year’s season-ender. “I can’t reveal too much, and this more of a sports reference, but it’s going to go down to the wire,” Peter Jacobson aka Dr. Taub teased me. “It’s definitely going to be dramatic and traumatic for all involved.” Are we talking one big game-changer or multiple medium-sized ones? “It’s more in the biggie category,” Peter said.

Episode 6.18 – Knight Fall Air Date: April 5, 2010
Here are the latest episode photos for House. As you see, there’s a new prop for House! It should be a blast watching House question people with a sword in his hand!
And this will be the long-awaited episode where Wilson starts seeing his ex-wife. I can’t wait to hear what House has to say about this…
Episode 6.17 – Lockdown Air Date: March 22, 2010
Here are some photos from the highly anticipated new episode of House, Lockdown. The guest star, David Strathairn, is an amazing actor, Hugh Laurie directed this episode and we get to see Cameron’s return. Wow! I can’t wait!
Many thanks to House fan Greg for the tip about this bit of news! We all remember that last season, Meatloaf was the POTW during the episode where Kutner committed suicide. (I got to help interview Meatloaf the day before the episode aired.)
Apparently, because Meatloaf enjoyed working with Hugh Laurie so much, he invited him to play piano on his latest album. How cool is that? BuddyTV reports:
“I wasn’t going to go up to him and say, ‘Did you hear the demo?’ ” Meat Loaf had previously told E! Online. “But the next day on the set, he walked up to me and said, ‘Are you kidding me? Yes. I’ll play.’ And so I’m hoping that happens.” Hang Cool, Teddy Bear, about a mysterious military man, is slated for a May 10 release.

Here’s a short clip of Hugh working on recording his part in the song:
Thanks so much to Lokun for the heads up on this fantastic news! It seems that House’s mental hospital roommate, Alvie will be making a return appearance on House later this season!
Below are some behind the scenes photos of Hugh Laurie and Lin-Manuel Miranda filming a scene for the show. The IMDb listing for the episode does not give a name to it, but the Wikipedia listing says that the episode will be entitled Baggage. I can’t wait!
This new House spoiler from Michael Ausiello is so interesting! It seems that House will have a one night stand, er, romantic encounter with a woman we’ve seen before. Hopefully it isn’t Cuddy. If there’s only a one night stand with her, it would be awful! I’m thinking perhaps a certain piano-playing mental hospital visitor…
Even more exciting is the news that House’s doctor in that episode, played by Andre Braugher, will be back for another episode. I liked him so much in Broken and also in Men of a Certain Age that it will be great to see him again!
Question: We need a sex scene on House with House this season. Could be any woman and I’ll be happy. —Bete Ausiello: Ask and you shall receive: I can confirm that House will partake in a one-night stand towards the end of the season. And it’s quite possible his little lady friend is someone we’ve met before. Also, look for Andre Braugher to reprise his role as House’s shrink, Dr. Nolan, for at least one episode in May. Could that have something to do with this? (That’s not rhetorical, I really want to know.) [Source: EW]

But the most exciting of all is that Hugh Laurie’s best friend may be making a guest appearance on House soon. House director, Greg Yaitanes sent a message on Twitter recently that Stephen Fry had already viseted the set of House:
“No better time then when he’s sitting on your set (visiting) to follow @stephenfry.” [Source: @GregYaitanes]
The big news for House is that Wilson’s first ex-wife will enter the scene on April 19th’s episode. She’ll be played by Cynthia Watros, whom you may remember from her time on Lost. It should add an interesting dynamic for Hilson [House = Wilson = Hilson]. Here is a bit of information from Michael Ausiello:
Question: Will House try to break up Wilson and his new/old girlfriend on House? —Nikki
Ausiello: And how. As series creator David Shore explains, “This isn’t just House being protective of Wilson, this is him being protective of Wilson against somebody who arguably knows Wilson as well as House does. And I think that’s what makes the scenes [between Hugh Laurie and Cynthia Watros] so interesting. You have these two people who apparently care about Wilson, although they’ve both made some dramatic mistakes in that regard, kind of fighting over him.”
Question: Do you have any more details about Cynthia Watros’ character on House aside from her being Wilson’s first ex-wife? —Gavin
Ausiello: Her name is Dr. Sam Carr, her area of expertise is radiology, and she’s “smart, capable, and a little offbeat,” says David Shore. “Anyone who is going to be involved with Wilson is going to be a little bit different. We wanted her to be worthy of Wilson’s strengths and worthy of Wilson’s weaknesses.” [Source: EW]
And here’s even more information that tells us that she may become a regular part of the show.
Entertainment Weekly reports that House creator David Shore is toying with the idea of extending her stay. “We’re talking about that,” he says. “It depends what’s going to give us the most bang for our buck dramatically.” Does this mean something permanent for Watros, maybe in lieu of Jennifer Morrison? Not really, Shore insists, because it was never about numbers on House. “When good people come on and they work out, we try and make it work longer,” he says. “It’s ultimately about the storylines.” [source: EW] House: Romantic Triangle Possibility!

Fans of Prison Break will recognize Sarah Wayne Callies who has been cast to play a patient of the week later this spring on House.
According to Fancast, she’ll be guest-starring as a Princeton Plainsboro patient who happens to be in an open marriage. You can almost hear House’s naughty commentary already.
I can’t wait for the new episodes to resume airing…
